These are a few of my favorite things

My mom got me all of Wes Anderson's films + Squid and The Whale; she knows me so well. There's gonna be a lot of Wes Anderson film and music posts to come. You could see my necklaces, art bag, and pictures in the back. I like that stuff too.

I got a whole pack of these really cool Keith Haring wall stickers at Ikea. woot woot~

So much nail polish and only ten fingers.

And I finally got a record player that I love + The Rapture, The Sound of Music Soundtrack, and The Head and The Heart Vinyl that I had before the record player.

What are you doing New Years Eve?

Quick Question: Since when have people been calling New Years Eve NYE? I thought it meant New York Everyday or something.

Happy new year~

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Hi guys. I've been kind of MIA for like a week or two (?). Sorry about that. I can't even lie and say I've been busy cause all I've really been doing was not do homework and watch movies that make me cry with my mom (I've watched You Got Mail enough times to reenact it). Also, the 25 Days of Christmas movie special on ABC started! Ahh, I love holiday movies. Here's a list of my favorites:
  1. Love Actually: From unrequited love to first love, Love Actually follow's different people on their quest for love during the holidays. Just like Valentine's Day and New Year's Eve, every person is connected. It's a romantic comedy that everyone has to watch because you can relate to one or more of the stories. I love this movie. *WARNING: there are nude scenes*
  2. Elf: WILL FERRELL IS A GIANT ELF. "You sit on a throne of lies!"Enough said.
  3. The Nightmare Before Christmas: This was my childhood, the songs are super catchy, and it's my two favorite holidays, Halloween and Christmas, put together into one holiday. Tim Burton is great.
  4. Edward Scissorhands: This isn't really considered a holiday movie, but the ending is so Christmas-y and dark. Especially the part where Edward (Johnny Depp) is making the ice sculpture and it's "snowing" and Kim (Winona Ryder) is spinning in the snow in her white dress and there's an eerie song playing. That part gives me goosebumps and makes me feel all warm inside. I don't know why. It's beautiful.
  5. The Grinch: This is a classic. I have to watch this every year.
  6. Home Alone: Another classic. Plus, I love movies that are filmed in New York during the Holidays.
  7. Jingle All the Way: I don't know what's funnier: Arnold Schwarzenegger's acting or his facial expressions? The storyline is pretty decent. A boy wants a sold out toy for christmas and his dad (Schwarzenegger) forgot to buy it so Dad goes on a shopping spree the day of Christmas Eve. He goes to hell and back for that toy, but I can't help but laugh throughout the whole thing. Sorry Terminator.
  8. The Polar Express: The Polar Express is a train that picks children up in the middle of the night on Christmas Eve and takes them to the North Pole to visit Santa. To this day, I wish this were true.
  9. Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas: Don't laugh, but I actually really like this movie. My grandma had the video when I was a kid and she still has it to this day. That video has been around. From me to my brother to my cousins and now my youngest cousin has to watch it. It's just a bunch of little Christmas stories with Disney characters in them + there's a scene where there are hippos wearing tutus iceskating in a competition.
  10. Friday After Next: Xmas in the Hood: OKAY. This movie isn't even that funny or good to begin with, but it's full of holiday cheer. What I learned from this movie is that if you live in the hood, Santa won't leave you presents, he'll take them and probably grab a sandwhich too.

I FOUND A CAT

Meet Royal, my cat for an hour
(Royal Tenenbaums reference)
Royal in action
Royal trying to figure out how the hell he was gonna get off that ledge.
*MEOW*
"Royal, stop running away from me!"
Royal giving me the I know you can't keep me, but youre still cool look
So the story is that earlier today I was telling my parents I wanted a cat because I was feeling kinda lonely and they said no. Then Royal showed up at my doorstep like he was heaven sent (#GodLovesMe ✞). But my mom didn't let me keep him because she hates cats. So she dragged me into the house leaving Royal outside in the cold. I'm not gonna lie, but I cried. He was sitting by the door and meowing at me; it was catastrophic (budumtsss). Hopefully he comes back to play tomorrow.
